Job Summary/Description:

WLBT is looking for a journalist to assist with putting our newscasts on the air. This is an entry-level position, but it is also one that can quickly lead to other opportunities. The right candidate will be a good writer who also has video editing skills. If you are knowledgeable about current events, have a basic understanding of legal and civic processes, and want to get your start in a television newsroom, you are encouraged to apply. Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Write copy for newscasts
• Edit video for newscasts
• Assist Producers
• Train to become a television newscast

Producer Qualifications/Requirements:

• Journalism or Communications degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• Knowledge and awareness of current events and issues, and coverage opportunities
