Position Overview
The Production Manager manages production personnel and is also responsible for controlling and managing the inventory, as well as production processes, necessary to meet business objectives. This position will require you to travel to 3 production facilities within the New England area.
What you’ll do:
Manage production staff, including Yard Associates and Equipment Operators, and provide work direction, coaching, and training, in addition to supporting new hire recruitment
In collaboration with other business leaders, review sales results, problems, backlogs, and future business strategies
Manage and coordinate maintenance and repairs of warehouse and production equipment. Oversee the production in 3 SiteOne facilities
Analyze inventory requirements based on a variety of internal and external factors to ensure that proper inventory levels are maintained to meet sales demand
Provide inventory insight to the sales team, field technicians, and other SiteOne personnel as appropriate
May partner with cross-functional teams on sales order processes, pricing, part numbers, and other functions as needed
Skills We Are Seeking
4 to 7 years working in a production-related field that involves budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling
4 to 7 years of supervisory experience, including placement, work direction, coaching, and performance management
Knowledge of supply management systems, processes, and practices
Proven skills in interpersonal communications, negotiation, conflict resolution, and high-level skills in organizational effectiveness, or general management consulting
Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions
Degree in a Business/Management discipline or Accounting/Finance discipline, or equivalent experience preferred not required.
