We are looking for an Art Director, International Production and Design interested in starting a career with a top-ranked and growing snack company, and to be part of our Marketing team at PIM’s Headquarters in Park Ridge, New Jersey. This position will report to our Vice President of Creative Marketing.
Our new Art Director, International Production and Design will be a highly creative and detail-oriented expert who will lead and execute impactful packaging solutions for our global product portfolio. This individual will be instrumental in shaping our brand identity across diverse international growing markets, ensuring both creative excellence and seamless production. This role demands a strong understanding of design principles, international regulations, production processes, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities
Creative Vision & Art Direction:
Develop and articulate innovative and brand-aligned packaging design concepts that resonate with target audiences in various international markets.
Stay abreast of global design trends, materials, and technologies to drive cutting-edge packaging solutions.
Present design concepts and strategies effectively to stakeholders, incorporating market-specific insights.
International Production Expertise:
Oversee the entire packaging production process from concept to final execution, ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to international standards and regulations (e.g., labeling, language requirements, environmental considerations).
Develop and maintain comprehensive production specifications, including die-lines, material specifications, and color standards.
Troubleshoot production challenges and implement effective solutions to ensure timely delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with VP of Creative and International Marketing teams to ensure packaging aligns with brand strategy, product requirements, and market access needs.
Communicate effectively with international teams and stakeholders, considering cultural nuances and time zone differences.
Manage translation and localization processes for packaging artwork.
Project Management & Efficiency:
Manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and budgets.
Develop and maintain project timelines and track progress, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Implement efficient workflows and processes to optimize packaging development and production.
Brand Guardianship:
Ensure all packaging designs consistently reflect and strengthen the global brand identity.
Develop and maintain brand guidelines specific to international packaging applications.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Packaging Design, or a related field
10+ years of experience in packaging design, with an awareness on international markets
Proven track record of developing and executing successful packaging solutions across diverse global regions
Strong understanding of international packaging regulations, labeling requirements, and environmental standards
Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g.,
Adobe Creative Suite:
Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
Excellent understanding of printing processes, materials, and pre-press requirements
Exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team environment
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Cultural sensitivity and experience working with international partners

The PIM Brands Global Headquarters in Park Ridge, New Jersey
The role requires working on-site: Monday thru Thursday. Work from home/remotely on a rotating Friday schedule. Summer Fridays between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend

The pay range for this position is $115K to $130K. PIM Brands takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
