Position Summary The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of film, audio, multi-media, digital content, and event production at The Big We . This includes managing video, audio, photography, and live event production, ensuring all creative assets align with The Big We’s branding and messaging. Working closely with the Creative Director, Marketing Team, and Program Leads, the Production Manager ensures that visual storytelling, multimedia projects, and event productions are executed seamlessly and effectively. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized leader who can manage multiple projects as well as multiple staff members and consultants while upholding high creative and technical standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Creative & Media Production Management Oversee the end-to-end production process for all film, audio, digital content and photography projects. Manage pre-production planning, scheduling, budgeting, and logistics for large and small scale media shoots and creative projects. Ensure all productions align with The Big We’s storytelling approach, branding, and mission-driven messaging. Supervise editors, videographers, photographers, sound engineers, and external contractors. Review and approve final edits, ensuring high-quality content before publication. Event Production & Live Experiences Lead production for The Big We’s events, performances, and community activations. Coordinate stage design, lighting, sound, and overall event logistics for live and virtual experiences. Oversee technical execution for Union the Musical, In This Place, Welcome Table, and other productions. Guide external vendors and contractors to ensure successful event and performance execution. Project & Team Management Develop timelines, production schedules, and work plans to keep all creative projects on track. Assign tasks and manage Producers and freelance production staff. Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of all creative projects. Troubleshoot production challenges, maintaining high creative standards and efficiency. Equipment & Resource Management Maintain production equipment, software, and digital asset management systems. Ensure proper equipment maintenance, storage, and upgrades as needed. Research and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance The Big We’s production capabilities. Collaboration with Creative & Marketing Teams Work closely with the Creative Director to develop and execute multimedia storytelling strategies. Support the Marketing Team by creating content for social media, email campaigns, and promotional materials. Collaborate with Development and Fundraising Teams to produce donor engagement and campaign materials. Special Projects & Innovation (As Needed Basis) Lead or assist with special projects, including documentary storytelling, immersive media, and branded content. Explore new production formats, emerging media trends, and innovative storytelling techniques.

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in video production, event production, or media management. 2+ years of experience leading a team, delegate tasks effectively, and provide constructive feedback. Strong background in multimedia production, editing, and project management. Experience managing photographers, editors, and production teams. Knowledge of production tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.), Final Cut Pro, and sound design software. Ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously, balancing creative and logistical priorities. Strong understanding of branding, storytelling, and nonprofit mission-driven content.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in live event production, stage management, or performance-based storytelling. Background in nonprofit, documentary, or community-centered media production. Experience managing production budgets and logistics for large-scale projects. Knowledge of lighting, sound engineering, and post-production workflows.
