The primary responsibility of this role is to coordinate activities among internal and external functional groups and to share information with business partners to identify and resolve forecast variances. This role will also aid in the implementation of the demand-planning process improvement initiatives. Enhances the organization’s ability to meet objectives through robust Supply Chain management that ensures that both our internal and external material flows are in concert with customer demand. This is accomplished through the development of lean processes and procedures that meet internal and external customer requirements and the effective leadership of Planning resources through clear and precise communications of responsibilities and goals. This is an onsite role in either our Mt. Juliet TN or Lewisville TX facilities with up to 25% travel. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job? Develop master schedule for multiple repair types to fulfill over demand for a variety of channels Plan daily/weekly production for high volume repair based on Master Schedule requirements Develop/create production plans to meet customers’ demands Controlled release of work orders to production to cover schedule requirements Monitor and adjust plans to meet high dollar level inventory investment targets and turns Coordinate availability of material (handsets and components) for production with stockroom and receiving Balance schedule requirements with production capacity and adjust schedule as required to align with capacity and constraints Provide accurate daily, weekly, and monthly feedback on production status (against work orders and schedules) Analyze trends to forecast demands and develop or modify master schedule Coordinate availability of production capacity with production supervision Run MRP planning to drive requirements for components and handsets Identify KPIs impacted by demand-planning activities and outputs Supervise purchase requisition activities Communicates with customers and other strategic partners to gain their input and support on the business objectives. Fosters true partner relationships that allow us to manage change and growth within the individual business Creates and maintains processes that provide solutions for various internal and external customer demands Develop and establish document controls to ensure accuracy of forecast Establish, track and analyze departmental reports/measurements and present findings as appropriate In consultation with superior and subordinate supervisory personnel as appropriate, develop short- and long- term goals and plans for areas of responsibility What are the requirements needed for this position? Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, supply chain management, business or a related field 8 years business experience Minimum 2 years’ experience in demand planning in a manufacturing or retail company Experience in leading and developing a large growing entry and senior level staff Expert level user of MS Excel What other skills/experience would be helpful to have? Highly skilled Production Control leader with extensive strategic and tactical experience, results-oriented, high energy, high urgency, and embraces effective change High level of customer interaction; frequent interruptions and re-prioritization of projects based upon customer needs, working under deadlines, creative thinking, working on multiple projects simultaneously, ability making decisions based on various levels of information Highly analytical with excellent interpersonal skills Working knowledge and understanding of MRP/ERP systems, WIP and Planning Ability to work independently and assume primary responsibility to move projects and production related services forward
