On-site A well-established print production company in West Asheville is seeking a meticulous and detail-driven Proofreader to ensure the accuracy and quality of printed materials used by clients across the U.S. and Canada. This role plays a critical part in the quality control process , reviewing and approving project files prior to production. You’ll be responsible for catching and correcting errors across dozens of small, design-focused projects daily. The work requires strong analytical skills , the ability to maintain consistency under deadlines, and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities:
Review a variety of print materials for accuracy in spelling, grammar, layout, printing marks, and specifications Confirm measurements, calculations, and visual content such as logos, maps, and design elements Track edits, version control, and provide clear feedback to the design team Manage the proofing process from initial draft to final sign-off Communicate directly with clients to send digital proofs and confirm approvals Ensure internal and partner standards are met before materials go to press Assist with special projects such as direct mail, print sample room organization, and post-production checks
Qualifications:
Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on consistency and accuracy Strong communication and collaboration skills Experience reviewing design files and layouts for professional printing Proficiency with Mac systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe software Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadlines Previous proofreading or quality control experience preferred Familiarity with golf-related content is a plus but not required
