$39.3K – $47.2K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Microsoft Office Adobe Creative Suite 1 year Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description Serve as a backup in support roles such as on-air personality and engineer/board to assist WSM operations and its streaming outlets. Assist with producing audio and visual content across WSM and its digital platforms. Reports to Assistant Program Director. Serve as backup for full-time air personalities when needed. This may include producing and/or co-hosting morning shows, pre- and post-Opry radio show programming and other on-air shifts. Operate audio board for live and syndicated programming, including the Grand Ole Opry broadcasts. Collaborate with programming team to edit and produce media content for on-air and social media use, including commercial spots, station imaging and other programming features. Participate in on- and off-site promotions and programming duties to support events such as Opry Plaza Parties, Opry Community Day, Wilson County Fair, and Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman. Representing the station in a professional, courteous manner at public events/appearances Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education Degree in Broadcast Communications or Media or equivalent experience preferred Experience 1+ years experience in communications, media, or related fields required Familiar and competent with current automation systems and other digital audio workstations Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills Demonstrated team player and self-starter Working knowledge of the country music format, highlighting both current and classic country artists Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends and occasionally work on-call Licenses / Certifications Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
