Job Summary/Description:
WTVY News4 is looking for an ambitious Multimedia Journalist to join the Wiregrass’s leading news team! Our news management team is focused on coaching, training, and innovation. News4 gives you opportunities to cover breaking news, severe weather, and anchor, and showcase unique stories specific to the Wiregrass, like the National Peanut Festival. Let us help you sharpen your journalism skills! Ideal candidates are hardworking and professional recent college graduates. Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Develop sources and contacts from your assigned topic/beat
- Contribute to editorial meetings, including story pitches and feedback for others
- Produce daily content and special projects for broadcast and digital platforms
- Provide compelling live elements for broadcast and digital platforms
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field
- MMJ and/or anchoring reel
