Seeking smart, energetic community reporters Position Available In Bristol, Massachusetts

Beaver Dam Partners Inc. is seeking talented, energetic, multi-media reporters for Dartmouth Week, a free community newspaper and associated website covering Dartmouth, Massachusetts.

The ideal candidate will

• Be a concise, clean, engaging writer who is energized by the fast pace of the news business and the opportunity to turn around lots of stories quickly
• Have a journalism degree and/or some professional news reporting experience
• Be able to take and edit eye-catching news and feature photos. (Video and other audio-visual presentation stills are better yet!
• Enjoy becoming part of a community, talking with strangers, calling officials who may (or may not) want to talk to you, chatting up people at a community event
• Be ready to report and write stories about everything local: Municipal meetings, schools, police, courts, sports, arts, interesting people, community events, etc. You don’t have to know a lot about any specific subject going in
• but you must possess the willingness and enthusiasm to learn
• Be organized, efficient and able to work well independently and in a small team
• Have some experience using InDesign
• Be willing to relocate to the South Coast of Massachusetts.
