TV, the NBC affiliate, in Winston-Salem, NC, is looking for an Anchor/Reporter who brings credibility, trustworthiness, and poise to the anchor desk and can generate on-air and digital content. We’re looking for someone who breaks big stories, holds those in power accountable, has excellent field anchoring skills, works well under tight deadlines, and works well with co-workers. You will report to the News Director.

Job Responsibilities:

Delivers scripted and ad lib material with professionalism, personality, and credibility Team player who strives to make a connection with co-anchors and viewers while respecting all co-workers and mentoring new professionals Works with photographers to gather news content with a goal of gettingpelling interviews, strong visuals, and delivering important information to the public Regularly plans, gathers, and produces stories on day-of news or special project assignments Contributes content to the station’s digital properties Possess exceptional time-management skills by meeting deadlines under pressure Unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards Appears on behalf of the station at public events In person attendance required

Qualifications:

Past reporting and anchor experience (2-years) Demonstrated ability to enterprise unique content Demo reel should be indicative of your everyday work Strong writing and storytelling skills Can work in all weather conditions Ability to work different shifts, including overnights and weekends Has a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive newscast production Hearst Television is a proud supporter of military veterans.
