Cross-Asset Reporter Position Available In New York, New York

Position Duties:

Responsible for covering major financial-market stories that transcend different types of investment. Offer insights on multiple asset classes, from equity indexes and Treasuries to commodities and foreign exchange. Produce lively and engaging reports for a broad audience. Provide lively, thoughtful, accurate, and timely coverage on the biggest development in world markets. Generate long-form and short-form articles that demonstrate a strong storytelling ability, utilizing multiple formats, including graphics. Report on activities that impact and the global economy, as this provides the context within which our clients must make critical financial decisions. Provide on-the-spot, concise analysis on corporate and financial news including, but not limited to, policy and regulatory changes, corporate earnings, central bank developments, and other global events. Responsible for verifying facts and obtaining supplemental material and additional details from appropriate resources. Compile and analyze complex data sets to report on various platforms including television, radio, and newsletters. Collaborate closely with colleagues on the Cross Asset Team and others throughout News, including digital platforms.

Job Requirements:

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in Journalism, Communications, or related and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, as a Journalist, or related.

Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following: Working in a real time news environment; Knowledge of various asset classes; Reporting on complex financial topics as derivatives, ETFs, stocks, bonds, and commodities; Writing long-form and short-form news articles; Writing and editing headlines; Compiling and analyzing financial data; and Excel.
