Event Setup Manager

Job Description
The Event Setup Manager is responsible for managing the Setup Department for the Hot Springs Convention Center. This department is responsible for setting up and striking events according to function specifications.

Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and direct the Set-Up Department in the
Supervise assigned
Supervise the performance and work productivity of assigned staff; conduct hiring, terminations, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations and staff development.
Ensure all projects are completed according to specifications in a timely
Schedule operation tech
Assist with and perform event set-ups in the Convention Center
Inspect facilities and equipment for cleanliness and proper working
Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
Greet guests in a courteous friendly
Performs other duties as assigned by management, which could include assisting in duties that are not typical to this position.

Minimum Experience, Skills or Education Required:

HighSchooleducationorequivalent;vocationalschooltrainingpreferredwithfiveormore years of supervisory experience, and three to five years’ experience in a related field.
Must be fluent in a CAD based program and have knowledge of housekeeping

Must be able to determine time, place and sequence of operations or action to be taken on the basis of analysis of data; executing determination and/or reporting on events.
Must be able to determine or interpret work procedures for a group of workers, assigning specific duties to them, maintaining harmonious relations among them and promoting efficiency.

A variety of responsibilities is involved in this function.
Must be able to use body members, hand tools, and/or special devices to work, move, or carry objects or materials.

This will involve little or no latitude for judgment with regard to attainment of standards or in selecting appropriate tool, object or material.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed both inside and outside the Hot Springs Convention Center and calls for night, weekend and holiday duty. Sufficient noise, either constant or intermittent, to cause marked distraction.
