Permanent Part-Time Flex (PPT-FLEX) Voter Services Specialist 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309 This is an entry-level clerical position in the respective area of assignment. Employees in this class are responsible for customer service, clerical, and other data processing functions under the supervision of the Director. This individual will work at the assigned election site to ensure proper voting procedures are followed. Responsibilities The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of the processes. Work involves clerical work in conjunction with data entry. Ensures that proper voting procedures are followed. Processes registration forms, request forms, and other miscellaneous correspondence; field phone calls from the public and answers routine questions regarding registration and all processes. Additional durites include the representation of the office by participation in outreach events. Performance is reviewed formally through annual performance reviews, periodic conferences, and written reports. Skills Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to type 45 words per minute. Experience in customer service environments. Ability to negotiate effectively with customers. Familiarity with fundraising techniques and telemarketing strategies is a plus. Effectove communication with diverse customers. Proven skills to lead teams successfully.
