Located in the historic Miracle Theatre on Miracle Mile in downtown Coral Gables, Actors’ Playhouse is a Florida Presenting Cultural Organization and one of 13 major cultural institutions in Miami-Dade County. The company produces five Mainstage and four professional Children’s Theatre productions annually Job Description must be able to use Drafting programs, (please do not apply if you do not have this skill (AutoCAD preferred) A minimum of two years of scenic experience Theatrical degree or related field Familiarity of theatrical and/or entertainment working environments Ability to show past Scenic design work is a must for position. Demonstrated power and hand tool operation and safety knowledge Team-oriented mindset and interest in maintaining a collaborative work environment Ability to work independently Strong attention to detail while on tight deadlines Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Weekend or evening availability occasionally required Experience reading technical drawings Ability to climb ladders or stairs and stand or move for long periods of time Aptitude for learning and operating in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Auto Cad/ drafting programs experience Managing theatrical crew Ability to safely move heavy objects (20+ lbs. regularly, 50+ lbs. occasionally) .
