Job Description:

We are seeking a Temporary Exhibition Assistant to join our dynamic team in ensuring an exceptional and welcoming experience for all visitors to our exhibition. As a crucial point of contact, you will be responsible for various tasks to enhance the overall visit and support visitors in navigating their experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcoming Visitors:

Greet and welcome visitors warmly, creating a positive first impression.

Ticket Management:

Efficiently scan and validate online purchased tickets upon entry. Facilitate ticket purchases for walk-in visitors at the entrance.

Guidance and Direction:

Provide clear and friendly directions and guidance to visitors regarding the exhibition layout and pathways, ensuring an easy and enjoyable visit.

Exhibit Knowledge:

Acquire and maintain a basic understanding of the exhibit to address visitor inquiries and offer insights if required.

Monitoring and Assistance:

Conduct regular walks through the exhibit area to ensure everything is running smoothly. Offer assistance or information as needed to ensure a seamless experience for visitors.

Engagement and Feedback:

Engage with visitors, initiating conversations about their experience, and collecting feedback to gauge their satisfaction. Share basic information and answer inquiries about the exhibit content.

Group Visits:

Provide a brief introduction to the exhibit for group visits, following the provided guidelines.

Qualifications:

Must be available to work Wednesday-Sunday from 10am to 7pm between May 8th – August 3rd. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customer service or hospitality experience is preferred. A helpful and approachable demeanor. Ability to adapt and remain composed in a dynamic, visitor-facing environment. Basic knowledge or interest in the subject matter of the exhibit is advantageous. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Types:

Full-time, Temporary Pay:

$20.00 – $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 45 per week
