SENIOR TECHNICAL DESIGNER
Location:
New York, NY
Salary:
$90,000-$115,000 +
Well established fashion company is seeking a Senior Technical Designer with minimum 7 year of experience with Performance Wear, and Active Wear. Knowledge of Patterns and grading is a plus. This opportunity offers room to grow in an environment with work life balance.
Responsibilities
Submit detailed sketches along with tech packs including measurements and size grading.
Collaborate with design team assisting with initial spec.
Update Technical Packages to be sent to in house factories and overseas vendors including construction sketch, construction description, and garment proposed specs.
Follow up fit samples for construction and measurement accuracy.
Evaluate each garment spec measurements, yarns, stitches and construction detail.
Review with vendors on grading and/or construction corrections that are required.
Must be able to solve problems and identify fit problems
Qualifications
College degree or equivalent work experience
Proficient in PLM, is a plus, Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of Patterns, Grading and Garment construction
7 years technical design experience in including knowledge of activewear
Proficient in PLM, is a plus, Microsoft Excel,
Walmart experience is a plus
