What You’ll Do
As a member of the Epic Audio Team, you will use your technical and creative skills to their fullest, helping define the future of interactive audio technology.
In this role, you will
Create and implement audio assets for various key Fortnite assets at a high quality
Work closely with audio, art, and design teams to troubleshoot and implement solutions
Utilize UE5 blueprints, MetaSounds and data assets to hook up and test audio assets
Evaluate audio mix and implementation of audio assets in-game, and adjust according to standards and gameplay needs
Manage and prioritize assigned tasks, with a focus on achieving goals on schedule
Have extensive knowledge of field recording techniques and available sound libraries
What we’re looking for
Designing, editing, mixing, mastering and implementing content for interactive and linear media under tight deadlines
Strong core competency in at least one major DAW with solid audio programming knowledge focused on Foley and field recording techniques
Familiarity with VO recording, editing, and processing techniques
Highly self-motivated with strong communication and organizational skills; able to manage tasks and priorities independently
Experience with Unreal, Unity and/or proprietary game engines, including scripting, level editor, animation and linear editors
Experience with audio middleware and implementing audio assets into game builds
Able to collaborate across disciplines to create effective audio
Ability to design and implement audio scripting to achieve desired in-game audio features and dynamic playback
Able to troubleshoot audio issues, as well as optimize and meet memory budget and performance requirements across multiple platforms
This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
