We raise the quality level of audio in all Epic game titles and technologies as well as engage with a world-class team to create amazing gaming experiences.
What You’ll Do
As part of the Epic Games Audio Team, you’ll collaborate with world-class teams to create amazing gaming experiences and sounds. You’ll also help push the development of audio features and integration for future Unreal audio engine development.
In this role, you will
Create and implement audio assets for various key Fortnite assets at a high quality, evaluate audio mix and implementation of audio assets in-game, and adjust according to gameplay needs
Coordinate with audio, art and design teams to solve problems
Work with UE5 blueprints and data assets to hook up and test audio assets
Help with linear trailer or promo video sound edit and mix
Manage one or more junior and mid-level audio team members
Manage and prioritize assigned tasks, with a focus on achieving goals on schedule
Have extensive knowledge of field recording techniques and available sound libraries
What we’re looking for
Designing, editing, mixing, mastering and implementing content for interactive and linear media
Firm grasp of audio programming fundamentals for studio and field recording and strong core competency in at least one major DAW
Experience leading a small audio team and supporting them in doing their best and most fulfilling work
Strong self-management and organization skills and the ability to work independently
Experience with Unreal or Unity editors, including scripting, level editor, animation and linear editors
Experience with audio middleware and implementing audio assets into game builds
Able to collaborate with diverse teams and disciplines to create effective audio
Ability to design and implement audio scripting to achieve desired in-game audio features and dynamic playback
Able to troubleshoot audio issues, as well as optimize and meet memory budget and performance requirements across multiple platforms
This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
Washington Base Pay Range
$165,686—$231,007 USD
