Job Responsibilities:
The Technical Writer will be responsible for writing, updating and maintaining engineering, testing, cybersecurity, and other programmatic documents. The Technical Writer will be responsible for drafting user-friendly content that meets the needs of the intended audience. The Technical Writer will be responsible for maintaining records of those documents in the Configuration Management database tool. Qualifications
EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree and zero (0) years’ experience; Four (4) years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree. Write and edit technical and complex ideas and procedures. Work with subject matter experts, observing functional tasks to determine process steps. Possess working knowledge of current MIL-STD regulations for document formatting and grammatical conventions. Skilled knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Working knowledge of SharePoint and version control. Ability to organize materials, write an outline, and then use it to develop comprehensive, well-written documents. Knowledge of document control and workflows. Lifecycle knowledge.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.
Target salary range:
$40,001 – $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
