Role:
We are seeking a Technical Script Writer to work on immersive training modules for use in virtual, augmented, and mixed reality environments. This contract position will support the creation of production-ready scripts for training simulations, ensuring instructional clarity and accuracy across all content. You will work closely with XR engineers, video production crews, editors, and AI data teams to bring training scenarios to life. Candidates must be local to the Atlanta metro area, as the project will require regular on-site work in Marietta. This project is expected to last about four months, with success leading to future engagements as business scales.
What You’ll Do:
Refine and format technical training scripts using a proprietary XR template Manage script version control and feedback across teams using Google Workspace Attend on-site video shoots and XR capture sessions to supervise script fidelity Liaise with engineers and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy Deliver daily script updates and prep pages for shoots Conduct quality assurance reviews of all technical data in scripts Necessary skills: Technical writing experience (SOPs, manuals, etc.) Instructional storytelling skills with a focus on clarity and usability Strong collaboration and organizational skills Mastery of Google Workspace and rapid adaptability to new tools Nice to
Have:
Experience in XR, game development, simulation, or digital training content On-set production experience (L&D, e-learning, or film/video) Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, or similar learning standards Automotive or mechanical repair knowledge is a plus
