The Client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Copywriter/Technical Writer to support system documentation and internal/external communication efforts for the Department of Family and Children Services. The ideal candidate has excellent editing, writing, and proofreading abilities with a deep understanding of AP style and professional tone.

Responsibilities:

Review and edit system application documentation for grammar, clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guides. Create content in line with agency voice across multiple mediums. Work independently and collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders. Maintain brand and message consistency in all written materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field. 3+ years of professional copywriting/editing experience. Strong command of AP Style . Excellent grammar, editing, and proofreading skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite . Strong writing portfolio showcasing versatility and brand voice.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience writing for government entities or public sector organizations.

Additional Information:

Hybrid role: Candidate must be available to report onsite as directed. Selected candidate must start within 10 business days from the date of offer.
