About this role Veterans Transition Program- Associate, RFP Writer We recognize that veterans bring a unique and valued perspective to BlackRock thanks to their extraordinary backgrounds and experiences. The Veterans Transition Program is designed to support veterans in making the transition from military life to the civilian workforce. The Program offers participants the opportunity to work at the world’s largest asset manager for six months. On completion of the Program, successful participants will be offered permanent employment at BlackRock. Over the course of the Program, participants will: Join teams and have an immediate impact; Immerse themselves in the work of their teams; Gain an understanding of how BlackRock serves its clients; Be supported through training and mentorship; Get exposure to senior leaders; Participate in social and networking opportunities.
Program Structure:
The program begins with an orientation where you’ll learn about BlackRock’s principles, mission, purpose, and culture. You’ll learn about the asset management industry and get an in-depth look at how BlackRock serves its clients. Following orientation, you’ll join your team and gain insights into the day-to-day life of an Associate as you develop subject-matter expertise through on-the-job learning and our industry-leading technology, Aladdin.
Business Unit Overview:
The Americas Client Businesses (ACB) is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with sophisticated institutional investors. Across the US, Canada and LatAm, ACB is focused on helping asset managers, pensions, universities, non-profits, family offices, healthcare systems and other institutional investors meet their financial goals and serve their constituents and communities. We are comprised of teams of professionals with expertise spanning many functions working together to meet the unique needs of our clients including relationship management, marketing, sales, client service, and product development and management. Professionals within ACB work together to deliver a full range of asset management, risk management and advisory services supporting our clients’ investment objectives. About the
Role:
ACB is seeking a motivated professional to join our RFP Sales team as an RFP Writer in Atlanta. The successful candidate will craft highly customized sales documents for institutional client opportunities. You will be a significant part of the deal team, driving BlackRock’s business development efforts. This role will give you the opportunity to collaborate with all groups across the firm and develop knowledge of our entire investment platform while building valuable leadership skills.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Handling and writing RFPs for new business opportunities Helping to draft custom proposal content to drive sales activities Partnering with client coverage and investment professionals to develop sales narratives Supervising opportunity outcomes to analyze sales trends Contributing to the evolution of RFP technology, processes, and resources Collaborating with other writers and service partners on content management projects To ensure success, you will have the following qualifications: 3 to 5 years of experience working in the asset management industry Evidence of success in related field, including but not limited to: RFP writing, editing, consultant relations, institutional sales, client service, marketing, financial news, journalism, project management, technical writing Understanding of institutional investment marketplace Organized and detailed with strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize multiple objectives Outstanding written and verbal communication skills High level of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics Effective, driven individual; able to work with professionals at all levels Proven ability to influence, drive decision-making, and manage through complexity Bachelor’s degree Where will I be based?
