MAU is hiring a Virtual Technical Writer. As a Virtual Technical Writer, you will create clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation to support consulting services and onsite operations.

Shift Information
Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM | Fully Remote
Required Education and Experience
Experience creating training documents, training records, or in Communications, Computer Science, or a related field
1-3 years of technical writing experience, preferably remote
Preferred Education and Experience
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other web technologies
Familiarity with version control systems
Experience with AI software solutions
General Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems
Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Familiarity with software development processes and terminology
Essential Functions
Write, edit, create, and format technical documents supporting training documentation, including SOPs and other training materials
Collaborate with subject matter experts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness
Regularly review and update existing documentation
Ensure all documentation meets company standards for clarity, consistency, and usability
Manage multiple documentation projects while adhering to deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Professional office environment
Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 5-15 lbs occasionally
Ability to sit for up to 8 hours
Ability to climb stairs occasionally
Travel
Up to 10% travel with minimal overnight requirements
