About the

Role:

Pluto Health is seeking a licensed MD to support our clinical operations team with administrative tasks that require medical expertise. This part-time role (10 hours/week) is ideal for a physician looking to contribute to healthcare management, quality improvement, and compliance efforts.

Note:

Strong preference will be given for candidates near Durham, NC (HQ) for occasional office visits

What You’ll Do:

We are a startup so responsibilities often shift quickly, but the main responsibilities we anticipate are: Review and approve clinical documentation, treatment protocols, and medical records as needed Assist with the development and maintenance of clinical policies, procedures, and guidelines Support credentialing, compliance, and quality assurance activities Collaborate with clinical leadership to analyze clinical performance metrics and outcomes Provide medical insight for case reviews, audits, or appeals Participate in medical staff meetings, training sessions, and interdisciplinary reviews Stay up to date on relevant clinical regulations and best practices

What You’ll Bring:

MD or DO degree At least 3 years of clinical experience preferred Prior experience in healthcare administration or quality assurance is a plus Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage priorities efficiently
