Position Overview:
The Technical Writer will support cybersecurity teams by developing clear, structured documentation such as governance materials, procedures, and playbooks. This role requires a detail-oriented communicator who can interface with security teams, lead meetings, and manage multiple documentation-related projects with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Write and edit governance documentation for cybersecurity, including procedures and playbooks. Lead documentation efforts for multiple concurrent initiatives. Collaborate and communicate effectively across various levels of the organization. Facilitate meetings and interface with Information Security teams for documentation needs. Manage small-scale projects and track their progress effectively. Utilize advanced features of Microsoft Office tools, including SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. 10+ years of experience in a technical writing or related IT documentation role. Demonstrated experience writing cybersecurity governance documentation. Strong project management experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
