Who We’re Looking For:
Laborie Medical Technologies is currently searching for a Translation Coordination Specialist to join the Regulatory Labeling Team. The specialist manages the translation of regulatory and labeling materials, including Instructions for Use (IFUs), product labeling, and software user interface (UI) text, to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves coordinating with external translation partners, conducting quality checks on translated content, verifying software UI text, maintaining translation memories, and building glossaries.
How you contribute:
Coordinate and manage translation activities for IFUs, applied product labels and software UI text. Conduct end-checks of both translated materials to ensure optimal quality and translated strings to identify and resolve truncation or formatting issues. Create and maintain database of regional regulatory requirements as they apply to IFUs and product labels; Create and execute change plans. Ensure translations are consistent across all materials, checking for alignment with brand guidelines and legal/regulatory requirements; Investigate and resolve any software variable issues that arise during the translation process. Collaborate with internal teams, including regulatory, labeling, and product development teams, to address translation issues and incorporate feedback into translated materials. Perform quality control checks to ensure translations are fluent, clear, and accurate, addressing subjective, objective, and technical errors. Maintain and update translation memory and terminology databases to ensure consistency across translations; Track and report on the status of translation projects and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in translation coordination, localization, or regulatory labeling, particularly in pharmaceutical or medical device industries. Proficiency in translation management tools (e.g., SDL Trados, Memsource) and software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience managing translation vendors, ensuring compliance with international regulatory environments, and maintaining labeling standards. In-depth knowledge of medical device regulations, company procedures, and global compliance standards. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
