Dynamis, Inc. is seeking a multifaceted professional to serve as both Technical Writer and Project Manager. This dual role supports the development and implementation of
ISO 9001
2015 compliant documents onsite at the US Mint Philadelphia and provides support to the contract team. The individual will collaborate closely with manufacturing and reliability engineers to modify and create process and machine technical documentation, including updates to machine user manuals, online help files, process documents, official policies, and procedures, while also managing project timelines and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Document Development:
Write and/or edit various technical documents, including technical manuals, process flow diagrams, reports, requirement specifications, release notes, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Develop functional descriptions, system specifications, guidelines, special reports, and other project deliverables to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Translate complex technical information into clear, polished, and engaging content.
Project Management:
Oversee project planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure all project milestones and deliverables are met within the allocated timeframe and budget. Lead both document audit and digitization processes, ensuring compliance with established quality standards. Coordinate with stakeholders to manage project methods, techniques, sequences, and procedures effectively. Monitor project progress to identify any issues or deviations from the project plan and implement corrective measures as needed. Prepare regular project status reports and present updates to stakeholders, highlighting achievements and addressing challenges.
Audit and Cataloging:
Conduct comprehensive audits and inventories of all documents to ensure quality and quantity accuracy. Prepare and submit a complete catalog and/or file list of documents to the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) before payments are issued. Assign unique catalog numbers to digitized items in compliance with the Configuration Management Plan 01, ensuring all information is maintained in a separate spreadsheet.
Internal Audit Support:
Support internal audit activities, including audit preparation, training, and remediation of corrective actions.
Compliance and Coordination:
Ensure all activities comply with federal, state, and local requirements, including the US Mints safety policy and property management procedures. Manage equipment and tool inventories as per United States Mint protocols, coordinating inspections and approvals with COR and Property Management representatives. Lead efforts to maintain operational efficiency while managing changes in project scope and identifying potential risks.
Operational Efficiency:
Work closely with production and engineering personnel to capture organizational knowledge. Manage document inventories and maintain the government’s knowledge system. Ensure adherence to delivery schedules and coordination of after-hours work, maintaining communication with the COR for seamless operations.
Requirements:
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Bachelors degree or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of technical writing experience, ideally within an ISO 9001 organization. Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in a similar or related field. Experience with manufacturing processes and machine reliability is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat. Familiarity with 508 Accessibility Compliance and experience with Maximo is advantageous.
