Job Description

Job Title:

DrafterJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Drafter to join our team in Caryville, TN. The primary focus of this role is ‘build to print,’ where you will be responsible for converting client designs into Accumark, ensuring manufacturability, primarily in 2D. Responsibilities +

Convert Client Designs:

Receive and interpret technical designs from clients, converting them into Accumark format with precision and accuracy. +

Ensure Manufacturability:

Evaluate designs for manufacturability, making necessary adjustments to meet production standards and optimize the manufacturing process. + 2

D Drafting:

Create and modify detailed 2D drawings to support the production process, ensuring all specifications and tolerances are met. +

Collaboration:

Work closely with the engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure accurate and efficient design implementation. +

Production Floor Integration:

Actively engage on the production floor, collaborating with various disciplines to oversee the transition of designs from concept to production. +

Quality Assurance:

Conduct thorough reviews and validations of designs to ensure they meet all technical specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. +

Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive records of all design modifications, updates, and technical documentation. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Design and Drafting, including 2D & 3D Drafting Experience. + Experience working on the floor with multiple disciplines to see designs through production. + Associate’s degree or higher in Drafting, Design, or a related technical field, or relevant experience in technical drafting. + Proficiency in Accumark or SolidWorks, or other relevant CAD software. + Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials. + Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in technical design work. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Excellent technical communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues efficiently. Work Environment This position is based in an on-site manufacturing environment. The work involves a balance of 50/50 on the floor and desk work, depending on the status of projects. Employees benefit from billable holiday/vacation. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $35.00/hr.
