Job Description
Overview Chick-fil-A’s In-house agency’s design team is producing hundreds of assets across all channels to serve our Brand and to give our Operators timely marketing support. The In-house agency streamlines and optimizes the creative and production processes, providing better, faster and cheaper creative assets to Operators and staff stakeholders. The Designer’s skillset and experience are key to maintain the creative excellence of the in-house agency. As we build our Creative Production team, this designer will partner with the design and creative team to develop ideas and concepts that will help solve the Marketing department’s challenges, focusing on the challenges faced by our Operators and local markets. They should have a keen eye for design, especially typography and should be able to ideate independently, as well as take direction to execute on ideas. Natural design problem solver, always assessing work to determine is it in the purest form for customer clarity and brand/VIS integrity. Should be able to work across all IHA mediums while focusing on our local markets, especially for customizable templates for restaurants. This designer will work closely with everyone in the in-house agency, from PMs to art directors to writers. In addition, they will work with external partners (to give feedback and direction on-set) such as photographers, editors, animators and retouches. He/she would also, when needed, engage with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategy and direction of the creative. CONCEPT STAGE
ELEVATE & EXECUTE DESIGN:
+ Champion creativity across the IHA and Marketing, finding ways to continually push our beloved brand. + Attend and contribute to brainstorm sessions to develop and implement creative strategies for final assets. + Design and develop (in partnership with AD/CD) concepts for local markets to meet approved strategic marketing objectives. Assess the need and build stakeholder presentations accordingly. + Provide support as concepts are prepared for various media. This includes comping, light retouching, etc. to bring the concepts to life.
PRODUCTION STAGE
PRODUCE
FINAL ASSETS PRESERVING CREATIVE VISION
+ Serve as design expert for our local marketing efforts. This includes a comprehensive understanding of our VIS, production process and expertise in setting up templates and files for the Studio. + Coordinate asset generation by being the creative liaison between the IHA and the retouches/editors. Ensure all assets generated line up with the needs outlined in the concept deck and final elements/assets/media buy. + Design final files from ideation stage to final production, using skills such as basic retouching, versioning of creative files and executing mock-ups for Creatives. + Leveraging knowledge of various kinds of media, ensure assets are made within proper specs, in terms ofcolor space, resolution, and orientation. Some examples include printed POP (back-lit vs. ink on substrate), Social (IG stories, Facebook, Tik-Tok), App (splash screens, headers), and in-venue signage (design animations, static designs). + Review project layouts prior to production. This aspect of the role can include a multitude of different responsibilities, from ensuring that files are to spec and checking files for compatibility across devices, to proofreading to spot errors in page text. + Prepare images for production, adjusting color ranges, size, and resolution to ensure that images are of the highest possible quality and that there are no errors in color set up and space shifts.

+ Ascertain shoot details and needs with the producer to be prepared for the pre-pro meeting. As the concept deck is approved, work with the AD and the producer to prepare for the shoot, and ultimately help oversee the shoot. + Coordinate with stylists and talent manager to narrow down all props, wardrobe, sets and talent choices for AD/CD approval. Ensure everyone is briefed and prepared on shoot day, supporting producer in answering detailed creative questions.
DISPATCH/CLOSING STAGE

+ Partner with traffic team to organize the assets for ultimate dispatch of the files to our media partners. + Save all working and final production files on agency server.
GENERAL:
+ Consult with brand team on projects and when/where needed ensure VIS is being appropriately applied and potentially stretched for appropriate assignments. + Juggle deadlines and expectations to ensure projects meet all requirements and expectations. And as needed, adjust, based on client feedback. + Display a progressive mindset to confidently stretch into new mediums across Chick-fil-A, and always looking to push IHA to the next level by elevating the work.
