Your Impact | Hearst Magazines x HearstMade Video Production HearstMade is seeking a skilled and collaborative Post Production Video Editor to join our branded content team. This role is for someone with a sharp editorial eye, strong storytelling instincts, and a passion for video. The ideal candidate understands what makes videos work both in long and short formats and across platforms like Instagram and TikTok, and can bring to life various treatments and energy to a range of social and on-site formats. Our post production team is agile and creative, working closely with video directors, producers, editors, and brand leads to deliver impactful, high-quality work. You’ll be responsible for bringing ideas to life in the edit—refining the story, shaping the pacing, and finishing the final product.
RESPONSIBILITIES
What You’ll Do Edit branded content video across Hearst titles for social and on-site distribution
Shape and refine story arcs and visual pacing in collaboration with producers and directors
Select music, sound effects, and audio treatments in line with brand tone and platform expectations
Oversee thoughtful color correction, audio mixing, and finishing touches to ensure a final product that exceeds client and Hearst brand expectations
Collaborate with motion designers and art directors to incorporate graphic treatments and supers
Manage post-production timelines and asset delivery in coordination with project producers
Incorporate feedback from clients, editors, and internal stakeholders with professionalism and precision
Work efficiently within Hearst’s post-production workflows, tools, and file management systems
QUALIFICATIONS
Who You Are You are a creative editor with a passion for making engaging videos that tells a story and delivers results.
You have these:
3-5 years of post-production experience across publishing, agency, or brand video
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects, Audition, and Photoshop a plus)
Experience editing for digital and social platforms with attention to pacing, rhythm, and retention
Understanding of branded content nuances and editorial sensibility
Collaborative mindset and clear communication skills
Strong organizational skills, including media management and version tracking
Ability to juggle multiple projects and pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment
