Content & Creative Assistant – Hybrid Role W&C Long Island, NY • Hybrid work Wood & Co. is a high-end custom millwork company based on Long Island, known for creating cabinetry, kitchens, built-ins, and architectural woodwork for luxury homes. We’re looking for a dynamic Content & Creative Assistant to help us share our story, showcase our craftsmanship, and streamline the day-to-day flow of creative and operational tasks. Your Role This is a hybrid position that blends content creation with assistant-level support across our workshop, office, and sometimes on the road. You’ll spend time in the shop photographing current projects, filming process videos, and helping produce content for our social media, website, and blog. Outside of that, you’ll assist with general tasks that keep our creative and project teams running smoothly. Responsibilities Content Creation & Editing (50%) Photograph ongoing and completed woodworking projects in the shop or on site Capture and edit long and short-form video (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, etc.) Organize and archive visual content for future use Assist in writing engaging captions, blog posts, or website updates Maintain brand quality in all visual materials Eventually help train and manage a remote editor for bulk editing Support & Admin (50%) Help with printing drawings, organizing files, running errands, and office tasks Light project tracking, scheduling, and communication support Assist team members on-site with hands-on tasks or logistics Flex between tasks depending on daily needs—no two days are the same Requirements Strong photo and video skills (shooting + editing); comfort with phone or DSLR camera Familiar with editing software (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar) Good eye for clean design, lighting, and composition Organized, punctual, and excited to be part of a fast-moving shop environment Tech-savvy and able to pick up tools quickly (Dropbox, Google Workspace, etc.) Reliable transportation to work and to projects
