We’re seeking a YouTube Specialist to lead strategy, execution, and growth of PEG Music’s new YouTube channel. This is a hybrid , part-time contract role for candidates currently living in the Nashville metropolitan area . The role offers flexible hours with work done primarily from home, but requires weekly in-person meetings and collaboration . Role Overview The YouTube Specialist will manage, grow, and optimize PEG Music’s new YouTube presence across long-form episodes, behind-the-scenes footage, artist reels, and Shorts. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, ensuring all content aligns with PEG Music’s brand and helps elevate independent artists. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a content strategy for PEG Music’s YouTube channel Upload, optimize, and schedule video content using SEO best practices (titles, tags, descriptions, thumbnails) Create and manage playlists that highlight artists, touring moments, and episodes from our original series Analyze performance metrics in YouTube Studio and deliver regular reports and insights Collaborate with the video team to repurpose long-form content into Shorts and Reels Track relevant trends in the music, artist development, and content creator space Ensure consistent publishing schedule and actively manage community engagement Stay current on YouTube monetization, copyright, and platform updates Required Qualifications Must currently live in the Nashville metropolitan area Proven success managing and growing YouTube channels (music, entertainment, or creator-focused preferred) Strong knowledge of YouTube SEO, analytics, and best practices Proficient with YouTube Studio, Canva or Photoshop (for thumbnails), and basic video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or equivalent) Clear communicator with strong time management skills Passion for music, storytelling, and empowering creatives Bonus Skills Experience launching or rebranding YouTube channels Familiarity with PEG Music’s mission or similar platforms Experience with YouTube monetization, paid campaigns, or content ID systems Understanding of music licensing and content usage rights Work Environment Hybrid work arrangement : Majority of work is done from home Weekly in-person strategy meetings held in Nashville No ongoing office commute required
