Cameraman Eyeofugs Derby, CT 06418 Overview We are seeking a talented and creative Camera Operator to join our dynamic production team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling and the technical skills necessary to capture high-quality footage for various projects, including films, commercials, and live events. This role requires a keen eye for detail, an understanding of camera equipment, and the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments. Responsibilities Operate cameras and related equipment to capture video content according to project specifications. Collaborate with directors and producers to understand the vision and requirements for each shoot. Set up lighting, audio, and other necessary equipment to ensure optimal shooting conditions. Frame shots creatively while considering composition, angles, and movement. Review footage for quality assurance and make adjustments as needed during post-production. Maintain and organize camera equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition. Assist in the editing process by providing input on shot selection and transitions. Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies related to videography. Qualifications Proven experience as a Camera Operator or in a similar role within the film or television industry. Proficient in operating various types of cameras (DSLRs, camcorders, etc.) and understanding their settings. Familiarity with lighting techniques and audio recording equipment is a plus. Strong creative vision with an eye for detail in visual storytelling. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members. A degree in Film Production, Cinematography, or a related field is preferred but not required.
