JOB SUMMARY
United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Marketing department engages the community in the mission of improving child well-being for all kids across our region’s 13 counties. The B2B Content Writer role is key to this effort, working in close partnership across departments to distill impact data and develop content designed to communicate our impact with clarity and inspire audiences to act. The B2B Content Writer will collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to create content that illustrates a range of social and economic issues with sensitivity, accuracy and aligning with organizational voice and goals. This role is responsible for producing content across multiple formats, including but not limited to: event scripting, executive communications, impact reports, website content, testimonials, talking points and more.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Communications-related major (e.g., English, Journalism, rhetorical studies) 2+ years of professional experience writing and developing content for web and print Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, with meticulous attention to detail Proficiency in AP Style Ability to craft concise, powerful narratives from complex data sets and stakeholder input
RESPONSIBILITIES
Research and write internal and external communications, including but not limited to executive talking points, board communications, event scripts, B2B impact reports, internal email newsletter, web and email copy Write compelling communications pieces that address issues related to poverty, race, hunger, etc. with tact, emotion, sensitivity, and knowledge Partner with internal teams and subject matter experts to align content with organizational priorities Provide copyediting and proofreading support for internal partners Maintain content bank of published and approved content for use by other departments Assist with final proofing for print and digital marketing assets as needed
