Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the development and instruction of Integrated Education and Training (IET) programs, including delivery of industry-recognized credential training aligned with workforce needs Facilitate employability skills training using Alabama Career Essentials (ACE) and Mobilizing Alabama Pathways (MAPs).
Provide instruction and support for students pursuing the Non-Traditional High School Diploma Option.
Deliver targeted instruction in literacy, numeracy, and career readiness using differentiated, research-based strategies suited to adult learners.
Incorporate digital tools, educational software, and blended learning techniques to enhance student engagement and outcomes.
Develop individualized Plans of Instruction (POIs) aligned with College and Career Readiness (CCR) Standards and contextualized to workforce needs.
Monitor student progress and adapt instruction based on assessment data and learner feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop, review, and improve instructional materials and workforce-integrated curricula.
Create interactive, real-world learning experiences that align with career pathways and workplace environments.
Apply adult learning principles to promote the transfer of academic and technical skills to employment settings.
Administer and interpret placement and diagnostic assessments to inform instruction and support services.
Maintain accurate and timely student data to meet program compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement goals.
Support student retention, transitions to postsecondary education, and development of career goals through advising and follow-up activities.
Stay current with policies, best practices, and trends in adult education and workforce training.
Supervise instructional support staff and ensure proper maintenance of student records.
Maintain flexibility in scheduling to provide instruction to both daytime and evening classes as needed. Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, required.
Teaching experience, preferred.
Experience in working with adult learners, preferred.
Experience working with socially, economically, culturally, and/or financially disadvantaged populations, preferred.
