Job Description

ABA Line Tech for adults 1.7 1.7 out of 5 stars 21 Industrial Park Blvd, Ponchatoula, LA 70454 SOAR (Strengthening Outcomes with Autism Resources) is a parent created non-profit organization providing resources, therapy and guidance to families with autism from diagnosis through the lifespan. We are currently seeking ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) line techs for adults learning life skills. (ages 18-20) As a line tech, you will participate in a training program that provides instruction on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), discrete trial teaching techniques, management of maladaptive behaviors, social skills development, life skills development, and data collection techniques in a rewarding

  • caring environment.

Although previous experience with ABA and/or individuals with Autism is preferred, we welcome all applicants who are willing to commit to bettering the lives of our adults with autism. This position requires support for one adult in a group of 5 with a life skills instructor. Strong work ethic and commitment in attendance is extremely important. Interviews are in person.

HOURS:

Monday

  • Friday 10:15am-3:30pm
Duties:
  • Provide direct support and assistance to an adult with autism.
  • Implement techniques and strategies to enhance independence.
  • Support in daily activities, including community outings, cooking, baking, and recreational activities.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for adults with Autism.
Experience:
  • Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and special education practices is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and life skills instructor.
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
