INSTRUCTOR – FULL TIME AND PART

TIME-Medical Administrative Assistant/EHRS and Phlebotomy Instructors Needed-Day and Evening positions available Instructor duties include: We are looking for on campus instructors for our Allied Health Programs. We are looking for instructors whom have a skill set to teach Medical Administrative Assistants, Clinical Medical Assistants, Phlebotomy, Nursing Assistants, more! Use pre-designed curriculum, supplemented with your own work/life experiences and medical knowledge. You will have regular communication and interaction with your students in and out of class daily. Medical Assistant classes are available for day or evening classes. This is an active and supportive environment for students, so you will need to allow enough time each week to communicate promptly with students and other staff. Assist students in the practical application of classroom learning through hands-on training and lab exercises. Develop and update lesson plans and materials in consultation with school administrators and other subject matter experts. Teach students’ topics such as medical office procedural skills, infection control, and provision of assistance to physicians and healthcare providers. Assess student progress and readiness for clinical practice. Medical Assistant instructor(s) may be responsible for teaching classes in Medical Lab Procedures I-III, Basic A&P, Medical Terminology, EHR (Electronic Health Records), and/or phlebotomy. Deliver lectures and laboratory skills procedural training in a small trade school setting. Instruct and oversee training and certification process of adult learners for a contact hour course, providing classroom and hands-on learning experiences as dictated by program needs. Classes and instructor placement is contingent upon minimum class enrollment. Requirements 3+ years’ recent experience in the medical field in which you will be teaching and formal training from an accredited institution preferred. Must be able to obtain a national certification in the area you teach. Additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements. No prior teaching experience required. Must be detail oriented and well organized. Student engagement is a MUST!

Strongly Preferred:

Prior teaching experience in health related course/program is preferred, but not required.
