POSITION SUMMARY

Heritage Werks is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Digital Archivist to join their team! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily addition of content, including metadata tagging and content organization. RESPONSBILITIES

Oversee daily addition of content to the various client platforms, including metadate tagging and content organization. Assign appropriate metadata for assets and ensure accurate usage rights. Assist with curation and organization of large amounts of assets and digital content transferred from client servers, external sources, and vendors. Create new user accounts with specific privileges based on use levels, groups, and permissions. Perform daily system checks to ensure Digital Asset Management (DAM) are functional properly. Collaborate with database managers and digital coordinators on department goals. Conduct regular calls with clients. Provide management with updates and status reports for current projects. Assist with Quality Assurance for major releases and updates to DAM’s. Maintain accurate timesheet entries for client billing. Assist in generating statistics reports for monthly downloads and active users inform analytics for DAM usage.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Master’s degree in History, with archival experience, MLIS with Cataloging and/or Archives Specialization, or Master of Heritage Preservation, or similar post-secondary degree is required. One (1) year of experience in Digital Asset Management. Possess a strong technical foundation in one or more of the following areas: digital asset management systems, database management, UX/UI design, rich media file formats (image, audio, video), and/or server-side functionality. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse team. Ability to work independently and efficiently within tight deadlines, while remaining composed under pressure. Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud products, Excel, file conversions, and transcoding. Ability to adapt to changing technologies and trends in the DAM industry. Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to excellence. Experience with both Window’s and Mac computer platforms.
