Job Description:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Fulfill contractual obligations for full instructional load during fall and spring semesters.
Plan activities which enhance student learning and public exposure to the Northwest Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra (Senior Orchestra)
Recruitment of students
Provide excellence in instruction within the jurisdiction of the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and its education programs. Assist in development and evaluation of curriculum as appropriate.
Utilize approved textbook(s) and/or other instructional materials as approved.
Collaborate with administration, faculty, and staff to ensure student success.
Provide student guidance and support.
Engage in institutional service, professional development, and other duties as assigned by the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra administration.
Complete annual mandatory compliance training.

Requirements:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Music or a master’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Music.
Demonstrated evidence of professional development growth through participation in continuing education and other related activities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Post-secondary teaching experience preferred.
Demonstrated success with online and class teaching preferred.
Strong classroom management skills in grades 6-12
Strong knowledge of woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments required
