The Concord Conservatory of Music seeks a talented and enthusiastic Cello Instructor to join our vibrantmunity music school in the Metro-west Boston area. At CCM, we believe in nurturing the musical potential of students of all ages and abilities in a warm and inclusive environment. Since our founding in 2005, we’ve been dedicated to providing exceptional instruction through various programs, from private lessons to group classes and ensembles.
SCHEDULE
One day of teaching, afternoons, and evenings. A morning session is also available.
JOB SUMMARY
This position is being added to a rapidly growing department. The instructor must have an aptitude for teaching younger students. Individual Instruction faculty are responsible for providing excellent music instruction to Concord Conservatory of Music Students. The teacher is responsible for music instruction, studio management, and participation in the strings department’s work, including attending faculty meetings and engaging in the overall work and mission of the Concord Conservatory of Music.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead engaging private lessons during afternoon and evening hours. T is the potential for a beginner cello group class as part of the West Side Strings Program. Contribute tomunity outreach efforts and opportunities, including faculty recitals and programs. Participate in Conservatory events, workshops, and student recitals, fostering a supportive and inspiring musicalmunity. Fulfill general faculty duties outlined in the Faculty Handbook and collaborate with colleagues in faculty meetings.
Qualifications:
We’re seeking candidates who possess: Experience, intuition, and a passion for teaching students of all ages and skill levels. Knowledge of diverse musical styles and genres. Excellentmunication skills, particularly when working with parents and advanced students. Dedication to fostering a collaborative and professional environment. Preferred qualifications include an M.A. in music with a focus on pedagogy and performance and at least five years of studio teaching experience.
