Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit The Department of Art & Art History is a dynamic center for research, teaching, and learning within the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. It includes Art History and Studio Art, and has 20 full-time faculty and 7 staff members. The Department supports BA, BFA, and MFA degrees in Studio Art, and BA, MA and joint MA/MSLS and PhD degrees in Art History.
