Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Art & Visual Culture, in the College of Design at Iowa State University (ISU), invites applications for a part time position of Lecturer in the area of printmaking. This position is anticipated to begin August 16, 2025 with the initial length of one year (ending May 15, 2026), with the possibility of renewal. Qualified candidates will bring an in-depth knowledge in the art, design, and craft of printmaking and related materials and practices. Areas of expertise will include contemporary and traditional techniques, including letterpress, intaglio, relief, and lithography. The position includes working with a wide variety of students from multiple design disciplines with a range of skill levels. The position responsibilities also include the maintenance of the print studios and related equipment. Required Qualifications:
Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree or equivalent OR Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and MA in related arts and design field
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Demonstrated evidence of professional accomplishment Experience in administering printmaking studio Evidence of successful college level teaching experience beyond graduate assistantship
