More information about the department can be found at https://performingartstech.dasa.ncsu.edu/ Essential Job Duties The Department of Performing Arts and Technology (PA&T) seeks applicants for a renewable, full-time, non-tenure track Lecturer position beginning in the Fall 2025 semester. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong teaching and evaluation skills. Primary responsibilities include teaching an estimated twelve credit hours per semester with a focus on somatics and dance classes. Additional responsibilities will include departmental and university service. Other Responsibilities Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requires a master’s degree in Dance or a related field, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience. Degree must be completed prior to August 2025. Other Required Qualifications Candidates must have expertise in either Pilates mat or yoga, as well as other dance courses offered by the department. Preferred Qualifications An MFA in Dance (or equivalent) PMA Certified Teacher (or equivalent) or RYT 200 (or above) certifications Prior college level teaching experience Academic instruction expertise in one or more of the following courses/areas: Laban and Bartenieff studies, Pilates, yoga, ballet, tap, Native American dances, or dances from Asia, South or Central America or their diasporic forms.
