Proficiency in basic fibers processes, specifically papermaking and surface design (natural dyes, block printing, embroidery, piecing, quilting).

N/A Description of the Department or Unit
The Studio Art program includes 6 studio areas: fibers, metalsmithing and jewelry design, clay, painting and drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. Studio courses serve majors in the BFA in Studio Art, the BA in Art & Visual Culture with a concentration in Studio Art, the BFA in Graphic Design, and the BFA in Art Education, as well as Studio Art minors.
The Department of Art is NASAD-accredited and has over 45 full-time faculty members and nearly 800 undergraduate majors. Additional information about the department, the university, and the surrounding area can be found on our website at art.appstate.edu Essential Duties and Responsibilities Teach three undergraduate courses per semester in person at the Boone campus.
Primary teaching responsibilities will be in fibers, with the possibility of additional courses in foundations and/or general education.
