D Art Teacher Resonsibilities:
Design and deliver lesson plans that engage students in the art of ceramics/3-D art. Teaching students ceramics techniques such as hand-building, wheel throwing, glazing, and kiln firing. Use a variety of different materials and art styles to diversify student experiences in art making. Oversee student work and provide feedback to encourage artistic creativity and skill development. Evaluate each student’s progress in their knowledge and skills. Communicate with parents to discuss the individual student’s progress. Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings. Ceramics/3-
D Art Teacher Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred in an art field. Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experien c e at the K-12 or higher education level preferred Passion for visual art, art history, and the fine arts. Knowledge of varied teaching strategies to differentiate learning. Eager to work collaboratively with other teachers. U.S. Work Authorization required
Additional Desired Qualities:
Interest to contribute to school community outside of the classroom as an athletic coach, student advisor, student club leader, or otherwise preferred. Willingness to teach both middle and upper school sections.
