The Art Teacher will plan, implement, facilitate, and supervise activities in the Art Room that will stimulate youths’ learning and academic success. Additionally, the Art Teacher will inspire creativity, encourage self-expression, critical thinking, and problem solving.
Essential Duties:
Maintain and operate the Art program in accordance with the standards of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties Arts Program Promote and stimulate participation in the Art Program Develop, plan and execute a diversified youth development program consistent with the goals and objectives of the Art Program Maintain program and individual records Submit all plans and programs for final approval
Qualifications:
Strong ability to mentor and inspire youth. Ability to work collaboratively with staff. Commitment to promoting safety, quality, and a positive environment within the Club.
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years of relevant work experience Pass pre-employment background screening and drug test Belief in the mission, principles, values, and standards of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties Must possess excellent leadership, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
