This position will have weekly instruction for all ages. Early learning students will have art on a cart and the kindergarten- grade 3 students will attend a traditional art course. Duties Engage every student in grade-level appropriate learning experiences that help students explore his/her creativity. Work effectively with school colleagues, parents, and the community to support students’ learning and well-being Establish and maintain a safe and secure classroom environment. Manage student misconduct promptly and resolve conflicts effectively. Maintain a professional development plan and engage in professional development activities. Use appropriate technology in teaching and learning processes. Work collaboratively with the Upper School Art Teacher to present a cohesive theme each year for the annual Fine Arts Festival. Requirements Experience working with children in an educational setting. Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development. Familiarity with learning technology to enhance teaching methods. Ability to work effectively with students who have diverse needs, including those on the autism spectrum. Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Must agree with AHA’s Statement of Faith without reservation.
