Forsyth Tech is seeking a part-time instructor to teach appreciation courses in person on our main campus in Winston Salem, NC and at our Stokes Center in Stokes County, NC. These classes will include an online/asynchronous component. Applicants must have an MFA, MM, or terminal degree in their field, and experience teaching college level courses. Community College teaching experience preferred.

Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a US Department of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.
Must have a Masters Degree or higher in Fine Arts
Must have experience teaching Art Appreciation or Art History
Must have experience in asynchronous instruction
Must be willing to travel and teach on main campus
Preferred Qualifications Preferred:
A Master’s degree or higher and at least 18 graduate level hours in ART.
Successful teaching experience in a community college environment.. Essential Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assume responsibility for teaching assignments as designated by the department chairperson and approved by the dean.
Assume responsibility for maintaining all required College records, including attendance and grade reports, roll books, etc.
Make recommendations to Department Chair for supplies, equipment, and equipment repairs.
Construct, administer, and grade examinations.
Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all policies of the College.
Treat others respectfully, speak to others courteously and behave in such a way that creates a workplace environment that is marked by trustworthiness, honest but polite communication, and interpersonal interactions that are both personally cordial and professionally appropriate.
