Role Summary :
The Creative Arts department exists to (1) educate and encourage students, as created beings and image-bearers (Gen. 1:27), to, in turn, create and fine-tune their God-given creativity with excellence, and (2) to value beauty and its study. The Elementary Art Teacher, with a strong commitment to providing a private school education with a Biblical worldview, will provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the visual arts, designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, artistic and social growth. They are intentional about showing Christ and His love through their teaching and care of the students. They will work to enable students to develop skills and competencies to reach their intellectual, creative and artistic potential. Duties and Responsibilities Develop and deliver art lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and educational standards. Teach students about various art techniques, styles, and mediums Encourage creativity and self-expression in students through art projects and assignments. Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate with parents about their child’s progress. Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that fosters learning and creativity. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into other subjects and school-wide events. Stay up-to-date with new art techniques, technologies, and trends to enhance teaching methods and student learning. Participate in school-wide events and activities, such as art shows, exhibitions, and performances. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress. Dean of Academics Qualifications :
Review and affirm, without reservation to the Core Statements adopted by CCA include the CCA Mission, Vision, Core Values, Community Life Statement, Statement of Faith, Philosophy of Christian Education, School-wide Learning Outcomes, and Instructional Values. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in art education arts or related field New Hampshire State Teaching License or eligibility to obtain the credential Obtain and maintain teacher certification from Association of Christian Schools International Proven experience as an art teacher with a thorough understanding of best practices
