We are seeking a highly qualified, passionate, and collaborative Art Teacher. Candidate will be a role model who can help foster our students’ social, emotional, and academic growth, implement a variety of instructional strategies, and who has familiarity with the latest educational models to enhance student learning for the 21st century.

The ideal candidate has:

• Teacher certification
• At least 3 years of successful experience as a classroom teacher
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An understanding of child/adolescent development and how social emotional factors impact learning
• An ability to build relationships with students that foster a positive classroom environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and take academic risks
• A belief that all children can be creative

Schechter Bergen Art Teacher Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enrich expertise in the subject area of art and art education
• Provide art instruction during the school day for Grades 1-8
• Sets and reinforces clear expectations and routines
• Maintains accurate and complete records as required
• Maintains a positive learning environment that encourages open communication between the teacher and learner Leave replacement from October 2024
